Kerry Shoemake, MSN, AGACNP-BC

Kerry is an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She began her health care career 17 years ago at Parkland Hospital in Dallas as a Registered Nurse working in a medical/surgical unit as well as the burn unit. She had a strong desire to learn more and play a bigger role in her patients’ health care, so she continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington and Walden University. Kerry recently obtained a position with Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern with the Nephrology department. Her interests include liver disease, chronic kidney disease, and end stage renal disease. Kerry seeks to obtain extensive experience with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, as well as end stage renal disease and patients needing long term dialysis.
